Arrest Warrant Issued for Tamina Shooting Suspect

On December 24, 2018, Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Homicide and Violent Crime Unit have an active arrest warrant for Wayne Gordon Jr. for the charge of homicide. Anyone with information regarding Wayne Crosby Gordon Jr., or this crime is asked to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office 936-760-5800, or the Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-STOP and refer to case number# 18A373237.

On the afternoon of December 22, 2018, Victim Eric Thomas was shot, and later died of his injuries in Montgomery County. As a result of the investigation into the shooting death of Eric Thomas, a 2004 two-tone (black over tan) Ford F-150 extended cab truck bearing Texas license plate #AP8-3927 was observed leaving the scene of the shooting. The vehicle Ford F-150 has numerous dents, and bears the words “Wayne Gordon Jr. Ceramic Tile” in gold lettering on both doors. On December 24, 2018, based on the investigation completed by Detectives an active arrest warrant for Wayne Gordon Jr. for the charge of homicide was issued. Gordon has known ties to the greater Houston area, and is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Based on information provided to Detectives from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office two pictures were added to the flyer which were believed to be Wayne Crosby Gordon Jr. After the flyer circulated, Detectives became aware that two of the pictures were in fact not Wayne Crosby Gordon Jr. The middle picture on the flyer was Wayne Gordon. Please remove any other flyer and use the one provided.

Wayne Crosby Gordon Jr. B/M DOB: 09/01/1968, turned himself into the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at 1 Criminal Justice Drive in Conroe, Texas. Gordon was wanted in connection with the shooting death of Eric Thomas. He is being held on a $150,000 bond.
