MCTXSheriff Host Employee Blood Drive

On March 12, 2019, between 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office partnered with CHI St. Luke’s Health to host a blood drive as a way for their employees to give back to the community. Since taking office, Sheriff Rand Henderson has passed on his passion for selfless service and giving back to the community through boots on the ground projects such as this one. Today, more than 30 employees with the Sheriff’s Office donated their blood for a wonderful cause. For every bag of blood a person donates, up to three lives could be saved. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office continues to plan future community projects, including more employee blood drives. Thank you to CHI ST. Luke’s for partnering with the Sheriff’s Office to make this possible.

Sheriff Rand Henderson states, “I am proud of the selfless actions of these employees who donated blood to help save lives. For those battling serious medical conditions, blood drives like this helps ensure blood will be available whenever and wherever it is needed. Our goal is to make a positive difference in an area of unrelenting need. This event was a great success.”
