MCTXSheriff Issues Warrant in Murder Investigation

On July 3, 2020, at about 3:30 AM, the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable's Office was dispatched to the 32400 block of Hunter Park in the Imperial Oaks Subdivision Spring, Texas in reference to a shooting. Upon their arrival, they found Cameron Cook, a 19-year-old white male, deceased from a single gunshot wound to the head. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Homicide-Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Investigators were contacted to assist in the investigation. While conducting interviews, witnesses in the residence stated that Cameron’s cousin,, a 21-year-old white male, was the suspect and that he had fled the scene prior to police arriving. A warrant was issued for Murder and Eryn was arrested on July 5, 2020. He is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail with a $500,000 bond. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently being investigated and no other information is available at this time. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office give their thoughts and prayers to the Cook family during this hard time.
